Green Imaging Technologies' GIT Systems
software measures the T2 distribution in rock core plugs
cutoff yielding free fluid, bound water, clay bound water, T2
and effective porosity. Log calibration and interpretation
models are improved by using these more accurate values.
Analysis of the T2 distribution, derived from the inversion of the NMR echo
measurements provides a subdivision of the NMR total porosity into clay
bound water (CBW), capillary-bound water (BVI) and free-fluid or bulk volume moveable (FFI or BVM).

The graph above shows results at 6MHz shifted to compare with 2MHz acquired
results. Ratio measurements like FFI, BVI, etc. will be completely unaffected.
