Water Saturation Distribution

Green Imaging Technologiesí GIT Systems software measures the water distribution down rock core plugs. The saturation profiles can be used for water flooding experiments. The distribution can be measured for quality control to ensure uniformity before performing other tests. In addition, non-homogeneous rock plugs can be detected.

Left is a graph of a homogeneous fully saturated rock core plug. The MRI techniques used by GIT Systems directly determines water saturation without introducing T1 or T2 weighting.

GIT Systems saturation profile can be performed as a quality control to ensure the saturation is uniform throughout the rock core plug. The graph on the right shows an example of water saturation distribution along a core plug after being centrifuged.

GIT Systems saturation measurement can directly determine the homegeneity of the rock by measuring the water. Left is a graph of a rock with different pore structures.
