In addition to importing virtually any externally acquired data, GIT Systems software has the ability to directly control and acquire data from the MRI equipment. GIT has validated the measurement technique on two hardware platforms: the Bruker LF90 minispec system and the Oxford Instruments’ GeoSpec line of rock core analyzers (more information provided below).
GIT has significant expertise in MRI and will work with our customers to ensure hardware compatibility with any MRI equipment vendor. We would be happy to answer any technical questions you may have.
Bruker
Release 1.0 of GIT Systems
was developed on the
Bruker LF90 minispec system.
It consistently provides excellent results
on standard rock core plugs. The intuitive software interface
simplifies the acquisition of NMR measurements in the lab and
coupled with the LF90 dramatically improves measurement speed
and accuracy.
Oxford Instruments
Oxford Instruments’ GeoSpec
is the industry standard with
installations in almost every major oil producer and SCAL
laboratory world-wide. The standard operating frequency is 2MHz
to minimize the effect of high magnetic susceptibility gradients
present in some rocks, and to complement the operating frequency
of down-hole well logging tools. For routine core analysis,
a new software package, LithoMetrix,
takes full control of
the instrument hardware and automatically generates BVI, FFI,
CBW, effective porosity, T1 and T2 cut-off values and NMR
permeability. This new package is available exclusively on the
GeoSpec range, through a technical and commercial collaboration
between Oxford Instruments and Green Imaging Technologies Inc.
The GeoSpec range of NMR
instruments also supports GIT Systems
software, which utilizes the MRI instrument to measure
capillary pressure using the patented GIT-CAP technique. The
software also allows the user to model such reservoir parameters
as NMR permeability, wettability, and relative permeability.
