May 10-14, 2010 – GIT at GeoCanada 2010 – Booth 217

Green Imaging Technologies will be attending the GeoCanada 2010 conference in Calgary, Alberta, May 10-14, 2010, at the BMO Center. Stop by and see us at Booth 217 in the exhibit hall, or take in the technical paper being presented by our Lab Manager, Dragan Veselinovic, entitled “Analysis of Unconventional Reservoirs using New and Existing NMR Methods”. This paper will be part of the “Advances in Core Analysis Techniques” session on the morning of Tuesday, May 11th.

This conference is the joint annual convention for the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists (CPSG), the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (CSEG), and the Canadian Well Logging Society (CWLS).

September 26-29, 2009 – GIT attended 23rd International Symposium of the Society of Core Analysts

GIT representatives were in Booth 6 of the tradeshow. Dr. Green presented the technical paper (SCA 2009-32) titled "Extracting Pore Throat Size and Relative Permeability from MRI-Based Capillary Pressure Curves" and poster (SCA 2009-46) titled "Sensitivity Study of Variables Associated with Magnetic Resonance Imaging Capillary Pressure Measurements in Porous Rocks".

Green Imaging Technologies is pleased to announce that it is now offering commercial laboratory services. A variety of NMR testing packages are available, including GIT-CAP capillary pressure testing for both air/brine and oil/brine systems. August 18, 2008 - UNB and GIT Research Highlighted in JPT Article

The August issue of the Journal of Petroleum Technology (JPT) has highlighted research being done jointly by GIT and UNB. In May 2008, Dr. Bruce Balcom, the head of UNB’s MRI Research Centre, presented a joint paper at the 2008 Offshore Technical Conference in Houston. This paper has been summarized by Martin Kennedy (Chief Petrophysicist, Woodside Energy Ltd.) in his article Formation Evaluation, in the Technology Focus section of the August JPT. July 21, 2008 - GIT Corporate Membership in CWLS

GIT is pleased to announce that it is now a Silver Level Corporate Member of the Canadian Well Logging Society (CWLS), "the oldest organization devoted to log analysis", incorporated in Calgary, Canada, in 1957. The Society is dedicated to advancing the science of well log interpretation and related subjects, and the encouragement of research and study thereof.
July 15, 2008 - GIT Files New Patent Application

GIT recently filed a new US provisional patent application, entitled "Spin echo SPI methods for quantitation analysis". Patent inventors are Derrick Green, Bruce Balcom, and Linqing Li.
April 1, 2008 - GIT Receives GIT-CAP Patent

GIT has been issued the US Patent for its GIT-CAP technology, with all claims allowed. The patent is entitled "Method and apparatus for measuring capillary pressure in a sample", patent number 7,352,179.

Green Imaging Technologies, Inc (GIT). has concluded an exclusive technical and commercial agreement with Oxford Instruments Molecular Biotools Limited (OIMBL) of the United Kingdom, to make GIT’s rock core NMR software, LithoMetrix, available on OIMBL’s GeoSpec range of NMR instruments. This new software is designed to make routine NMR rock core measurements simple, by taking full control of the instrument hardware and automatically generating BVI, FFI, CBW, effective porosity and T1 and T2 cut-off values, and NMR permeability.
